On the tee box - Where to tee it up.
Most amateur golfers do not tee the ball up in the
correct location on the tee box. The tee box is
a great place in golf, it allows you to tee the
golf ball up anywhere in between the tee box markers
and no more then 2 club lengths back of tee markers.
First take a look at the tee box as you're approaching
it, look to see if there is any slope or uneven
lies, then look to see how the tee box is aligned
in relation to the fairway. If there is trouble
on the right side of the fairway tee up on the right
side of the tee box so you will be hitting away
from the trouble. The same applies to trouble on
the left side of the fairway, you tee up on the
left side of the tee box..
Swing and Hold - Hold your finish until
the ball lands.
Many golfers stop their golf swings right after
impact with the golf ball, this is caused by hitting
at the ball instead of swinging through the golf
ball. To help you promote a swinging action through
the ball you should hold your finish until your
ball lands! To finish the golf swing is a great
thing to master, so you should begin doing this
right away, you will start hitting more consistent
golf shots, practice this so it becomes automatic
in your golf swing.
Taking your game from the range to the
golf course - Get your mind ready to play golf.
Have you ever hit well at the driving range before
a round of golf then struggled on the golf course?
If so, here is a pro golf tip that will help you
bring your range swing to the golf course. 5 minutes
before your finished on the range you should visualize
the first hole you will be playing and hit the
tee shot visualizing the target. Do the same for
the approach shot using the appropriate iron visualizing
the target. Repeat this drill for the second hole.
This may seem odd but now, visualize the 17th
and 18th holes and repeat this process. The goal
of this drill is to get your mind ready to play
golf.
